RISE Youth
addresses the root causes of criminal activity and social inequality by
providing youth in custody with life skills education and adult coaching. We
recruit caring, passionate, and patient adult coaches and train them comprehensively.
They commit to a one-year relationship with a young person for the final 3
months of a youth’s custodial sentence, and for 9 months in the community
post-release. Together, youth-coach pairs work through our custom-designed
curriculum, which blends soft skills training, field trips for cultural and
educational enrichment, and career and academic planning. Our Experience Shows! We are passionate about what we do - and have the academic and practical experience to back it up. Co-Founders Baillie Aaron and Daniel Marshall have post-graduate educations in criminology from the University of Cambridge. Baillie is a successful social entrepreneur, while Daniel was a law enforcement officer prior to becoming an academic. |
